“ LET ME START OFF BY SAYING.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I always feel like places like this has the potential to be pretentious with mediocre service. However, maybe we lucked out with our server, but she was AMAZING! Very attentive, quick, great recommendations, and very friendly! I honestly cannot say the last time I received this kind of service anywhere. Next, the food... most of our table ordered the main seared tuna and it was DELICIOUS!! It was paired with crispy rice cake and ginger. Great flavors and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got a pizza and despite it being thinnnn it was still crispy and chewy somehow while maintaining it's form. We also ordered a variety of apps and our favorite was the octopus. Perfectly cooked, not too chewy and paired so well with the hummus! The drink and wine selection was top notch as well! I got to try a variety of martinis and drinks throughout our dinner and it was well balanced. I almost forgot I was sitting in a restaurant in the middle of Owings Mills! The ambience was perfect too, not too quiet like most fine dining places and it looked like a lot of regulars were in attendance that night. ”

“ Yes. Where the locals go. Excellent long established restaurant. Not a bad item on the menu. We’ve been here many times with family. We had lettuce wedge, crab soup, rainbow trout stuffed with crab and beef tenderloin. They also have simply prepared dishes of fish and meat. ”

“ Lately, I'm reserving 5 star reviews for places that exceed my expectations. I had pretty high expectations for Linwoods, and they exceeded my high expectations. First of all, I really like linen table cloths, but I rarely see them. A fresh linen table cloth is very reassuring. Our server was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. The menu items were a bit pricey, but reasonable for such a nice venue. I had French onion soup. It was excellent. I enjoy French onion soup, and I have ordered it at lots of restaurants. This French onion soup was among the best I have ever had. For my entree, I had a French onion burger. It was large, juicy, and it was prepared just the way I wanted it. It was delicious. There was not a separate person to bus our table, but our server was just as good at removing items that we no longer needed as she was at bringing our next items to the table. I was quite impressed by our whole dining experience, and I heartily recommend Linwoods. Update 12/27/24 Great service. Excellent food. I went all in for French onion. French onion soup and French onion burger with fries. Both were outstanding. In fact, the fries were the second best fries I've ever had. The best fries in the world are made by Thrashers in Ocean City, Maryland and Rehoboth, Delaware. But the fries at Linwoods are a close second. ”
“ We decided to have dinner here after reading a recommendation in Baltimore Magazine, and it didn’t disappoint! This was our first visit, and we’ve already made reservations to return. We dined with family, and the noise level was perfect for easy conversation at the table. We ordered the calamari, one of the evening’s specials, sea bass, some pasta dishes, and cheesecake for dessert. Every dish was packed with flavor and left us wishing for just one more bite. The sea bass and calamari were incredible. We will be ordering them again. Although the table service was occasionally a bit slow, likely due to how busy it was, it didn’t detract from our overall experience. The drinks were on the stronger side, which suited our tastes perfectly. Highly recommended! ”
“ Met college roommates there for a long, relaxed lunch. Linwoods has a wonderful menu with chef inspired starters, salads and entrees. The French onion burger was cooked to perfection. My friends had the Crispy fried Brussel sprout Caesar salad and the delicious omelet with side salad. Everything was delicious. Awesome service. A bit pricey but we'll worth it. Kudos to the chef. ”
